PETER ZAHLER
Peter Zahler has over 30 years of experience in conservation, from field-based research and monitoring to fund-raising and grant administration, project design, field implementation, grant making, and program management. His experience extends from the Alaskan and Russian Arctic to the mountains of Tibet, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the forests of Peru and Venezuela, and the grasslands and deserts of Arizona, Colorado, Mongolia, and Iran. Peter also has experience running grant programs and graduate scholarship programs, and he has worked on diverse topics including climate adaptation and resilience, anti-poaching initiatives, and community led protected area development. His experience coupled with his love of writing has led to his publishing over 80 peer-review articles and book chapters, along with a myriad of popular press articles on conservation.
